What NOT to Bring to Church Camp

Knowing what to leave behind is just as important as knowing what to pack. The wrong items can get confiscated, weigh you down, or simply go unused all week. Trimming these from your church camp packing list keeps your bag lighter and your trip stress-free.

Items to leave at home:

- **Expensive electronics:** Many camps ban or limit phones, tablets, and gaming devices. They're easy to lose or break, too.

- **Valuables and jewelry:** Leave anything irreplaceable or pricey at home so you're not worrying about it.

- **Lots of cash:** Bring only a little spending money if the camp store allows purchases.

- **Snacks and candy:** These often attract bugs and may break camp rules. Check before you pack them.

- **Heavy or bulky items:** Skip the extra gadgets and "just in case" extras that crowd your bag.

- **Anything against the dress code:** Don't bother packing clothes you already know aren't allowed.

Travel tip: when you're unsure about an item, check the camp's packing guidelines first. If it's not allowed or you can't picture using it, leave it home. You'll thank yourself when your bag is easy to carry and nothing important goes missing.
